Nikon 80-200mm AF-S Pictures

I got the Nikon 80-200mm AF-S about two weeks ago, and I’m really enjoying it! The autofocus is almost instant and is perfect for tracking moving subjects such as birds in flight, or sports. The 2.8 aperture is great for portraits and reducing distracting backgrounds. Here’s some pictures I’ve taken with it since I’ve had it. All were shot wide open at f/2.8 on a D90.

Tamron 200-500mm at Walterville Pond

Last week I had the chance to take my Tamron 200-500mm outside for a while and get some good pics! I love the sharpness of the lens. Even though it doesn’t have stabilization, with a monopod it’s a great birding and wildlife lens. Enjoy the pictures!

Tamron 200-500mm Bird Pictures

I got the Tamron 200-500mm lens yesterday and had a chance to try it out on some birds at a pond in Eugene! It’s a very sharp lens and it’s sharper at 500mm than my 70-300mm VR is at 200mm! Most of the pictures were shot with the Manfrotto 681B monopod and handheld.
